Our team of experts invites you to study the information about Khan Tengri peak and find out that the peak has an altitude of 6995 meters above sea level. 7010 meters above sea level makes the height of the ice cap peak. During our tours in Kyrgyzstan, you will notice that the peak is located in the Issyk-Kul region on the border with Kazakhstan.

You can find out in the tours that very often the local population calls the peak as "The Prince of Spirits" or "The Lord of the Sky". It is also possible to investigate that the peak had different names at different times, since the researcher P. Semenov made a mistake during the study and confused the peak with Pobeda. KanTau is the original name of the peak, which means Blood Mountain. Most likely, the peak was named so because of the red sunsets and the blood of people who could not reach the peak.

You can take advantage of car rental from our company and explore that the peak in 1931 was first conquered by a group from Ukraine. During the period of time when the Soviet Union existed, people could not explore the territories of mountains and peaks. Perhaps it was because there was not enough information about the mountains.
